 | DK is a British publishing company founded over 20 years ago by
Peter D. Kindersley. |
| Peter, an artist and designer himself, founded the company with two intentions:
 | To bring together the most talented team of writers, designers, artists, and
photographers in the world; |
| To create a new visual design approach to the development of books, especially
informational and reference books. |

| To date, DK has published more than 1000 books, videos, and CD-ROMS. Between 150-200 new
titles are published each year. |
| DK books have been translated into 37 languages in 80 countries. |
